Life is Good!

The girls are actually sleeping through the night! It is so wonderful. They are down to four feedings a day ~ usually 6am, 10am, 2pm, and then 6pm. Then they go down for the night and we usually don't hear a peep from them. We are so glad to have gotten rid of the pacifiers. Keegan never was able to keep her pacifier in her mouth very long so she soon became a thumb sucker. Samantha & Maggie were crying at night when the pacifier would fall out, so we were putting them back in all night long. Now they have learned the great skill of putting themselves back to sleep without it. We are so happy!!

We are all finally feeling better around here. The girls had croupy coughs, beginning with Samantha and ending with Maggie. We read about remedies on the Internet and tried the humidifier and even walking outside to breathe in the cold air. The best was sitting in the bathroom with them with the shower running for them to breathe in the steamy air. One night, Thad took them each in there for a turn. It was so sweet to stand outside the door and listen to him singing and talking to his girls! They love their daddy so much. My only complaint is that lately when the girls burp during a feeding, he says "Oh yeaaahh." Now after a big burp (and these girls are very good at burping), they look to him for the reaction. This is not good (but it is funny)!

The girls are enjoying watching Moby and are even reaching for him. It won't be long before he gets his ears and tail pulled. The girls are also enjoying each other ~ well, most of the time. When they are laying next to each other they hold hands and talk to each other. However, sometimes they grab ears or hair and pull . That has not been going over so well. After naps, the girls have been waking up in their beds talking and laughing. Sometimes, it sounds like they are talking to each other and responding back and forth. It is really cute.

Below are the girls' six month old pictures. Thanks for the adorable pillows and outfits Uncle Ben, Aunt Miriam, & Madison. The outfits have three little lambs on it, which is fun for me because Madison loves lambs and I have very fond memories of my Grandma Rose calling me her little lamby! Every time the girls wear these outfits, I think of her and the special memories I have with her.

To end, I was hoping many of you would be willing to sign the following declaration with World Vision to help the children of Uganda ~ it is called the No Child Soldiers Declaration. Thad and I traveled to Uganda last summer and the children there have a special place in our hearts. It is heartbreaking that many are being forced to fight as soldiers and often have to kill their own family members. We would love to be able to help. Much thanks!

What beautiful girls you have! And it brought tears to my eyes to think of them already "talking" to each other and holding hands. How precious! Hope all is well with you!
Much love,
Amy, Bryan, Eli, Silas, and baby Dik

I love their "little lambs" outfits:) I can't believe how much the girls have grown & how fast time flies! They are 1/2 year old already:) How awesome that they are sleeping through the night & that they are starting to entertain each other...I'm sure its been some much needed relief for mommy & daddy!
