golf fundraiser

our brother-in-law Craig is the superintendent of the beautiful Braeside Golf Course in Rockford and he and Michelle's sister are planning a fundraiser to help us out with purchasing diapers, clothing, and other baby items that we need for the girls. the details of the event are below and we would love if you would help us spread the word. thad will be golfing, so it truly is open up to any skill level (seeing he has only played a total of 27 holes in his entire life). if you don't have a foursome and still want to play, please don't hesitate to sign-up. ALSO, the van van triplets will be making an appearance; so, basically, there is no reason not to come out for a day of fun and laughter.

in other news, we have begun taking trips in the t.u.v. (triplet utility vehicle) with the girls over the past couple of weeks. we took a trip to the mall, which was a lot of fun as we seemed to blend into the crowds and didn't draw too much attention. the vacuum salesman fascinated the girls and we are sure they know more about vacuums than we do. for easter, we rocked out traditional style and went with thad's parents to Qdoba for lunch. no mexican food for the girls this year but they did get treated to (awful smelling) sweet peas (that keegan disliked, samantha LOVED, and maggie liked). below are some recent pictures from our adventures:

life is busy

wow! having three babies is wonderful and tiresome. teething is absolutely no fun at all. why do babies have to go through this only to lose these teeth anyway??? one of those mysteries i just don't get. fortunately, we have been blessed by visits from family and friends, which has helped get rid of my winter blues! that and the weather is actually getting somewhat springlike. walks have been a real lifesaver through the fussy times. here are some pictures from our adventures of late.

sweet little maggie is getting both of her bottom teeth at once. none of that one tooth at a time business for her. we now understand why she has been fussy lately, poor little girl!

think spring!!!

i have been struggling with a serious case of the winter blues. i know people say winter in Michigan is supposed to be full of snow and cold (yeah, i used to say that myself) but this has been an exceptionally tough winter for me. i feel extremely shut in because of not being able to get out because of the risk to the girls of RSV. and i can't take the girls for walks because it has either been too cold or the sidewalks are too icey or snow covered. so in effort to shake this off, i ordered swimsuits for the girls. i have been dreaming about warm summer days in our backyard playing in a wading pool.we were actually able to take the girls for a walk yesterday for the first time in awhile and it was wonderful. i am so ready for spring ~ warmer weather and taking the girls for daily walks sounds fabulous.
